PBSA schools are more stable than ever, with a dynamic and supported staff, and students continue to make gains year after year on key assessments. All three schools have achieved net gains in student achievement on Georgia Milestones (Developing and Above).

Student Achievement Continues to Improve

Carver STEAM Academy’s 4-year graduation rate ranks first out of all high schools in the district. The Class of 2024’s graduation rate was 80.5%, a two-point jump from 2023. The class of XX graduates earned more than $11.4M in scholarships for continuing education—a school record.

All Schools Remain Off the Improvement List

All Purpose Built Schools have remained off the GA DOE’s list of schools in need of Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI).

Closing Gaps on the CCRPI

We’re proud to share that Price was named to a list of 30 APS schools that earned a score of 100 in the Closing Gaps category of the Georgia Department of Education’s 2024 College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI). The Closing Gaps category measures the extent to which all student groups are meeting their annual targets in improving academic achievement based on the Georgia Milestones assessments.

Students and Families are Engaged and Supported

Caregiver attendance and engagement at school events have continued to grow since each school’s baseline. Price Middle School’s GO Team received the Outstanding GO Team Award from APS. The award recognizes a GO Team that has demonstrated a commitment to creating a culture where teachers, parents and community members actively and authentically participate.

Significant Growth on the Georgia Milestones

Slater Elementary School is on an upward trajectory in math and reading. Each year, Slater’s growth in student achievement has been consistent and steady.
